Quinta de Soalheiro Alvarinho 2016 has got 92 points of Robert Parker! “The 2016 Alvarinho, the regular unoaked “classico” from Soalheiro, comes in at 12.5% alcohol. This is a fine Classico, perhaps not quite up to the 2015, but pretty fine in its own right. This shows all the hallmarks of Soalheiro, fresh, clean and lively. It is a pointed wine that seems a bit on the lean side, but it is very tightly wound, utterly gripping on the juicy finish and perfectly focused. There is some of that invigorating green this bottling tends to have, too. Don’t drink it…
